The Tuesday Club is a mantra based meditation group running in Brighton. It is a beautiful informal group that uses the power of mantra to heal our minds and body.

We meet every Tuesday at BeechTrees in Hollingbury Rise West at 8.00pm until 9.30pm. Cost is donation of up to ?5.00

I have studied Mantra Meditation for over four years now and love the healing it has brought to my life. It has helped me reduce my levels of anxiety, focus on the present and think clearly. It has made me refocus my life and not take anything for granted.

Mantra gives true space of mind whereby you are not looking for euphoric highs to make you happy or hitting too many lows which are difficult to pull yourself out of.

When I mantra I liken the thought process in my brain to a film reel. It brings to the front the thoughts that are running around your head from the day, causing stress and sometimes difficulty sleeping.

When you mantra those thoughts are put in front of you like a movie and you realise those that are significant and those to let go of. You are then left with clarity and space in your mind to feel at peace and be productive.

From using my mantra throughout the day I have thought my mind to take control of the thoughts that are causing unnecessary worry and increasing anxiety. Through doing this your mind will get to a point whereby it senses before even you do any fear base emotions such as anger, jealousy or anxiety that distress you.

Your subconscious then brings the mantra to the forefront of your mind overriding these emotions leaving you with a sense of calm to rationalise the situation that has brought those feelings in the first place.
